Davidoff Hutcher & Citron LLP Welcomes Two Seasoned Attorneys as Of Counsel, Expanding its Presence in Westchester County, New York and Palm Beach County, Florida

Davidoff Hutcher & Citron LLP (DHC), a leading commercial litigation, government relations, corporate and matrimonial law firm based in Midtown Manhattan, has announced that it is welcoming two Of Counsel attorneys to its Corporate, Real Estate and Trust & Estates Practices.

Jeffrey Citron, Co-Managing Partner, said “I am pleased to welcome these two seasoned attorneys, whose wealth of knowledge and experience will bring considerable value to DHC’s growing client base dividing their time between Westchester and our Palm Beach County, Florida office.”

With an extensive background in Corporate and Real Estate law, Robert J. Levine joins the firm as Of Counsel. A founding partner at Corrigan, Baker & Levine, Levine’s Corporate practice often found him serving as general counsel for his clients, advising them on issues such as corporate formations, structuring and restructuring, business sales and acquisitions, operating agreements, and general commercial disputes. At the same time, his real estate practice has covered property sales and acquisitions, financing, leasing and development. He has represented both buyers and sellers regarding the transfer and development of large commercial properties, as well as lending institutions in both real estate and general business financing.

Levine is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and Brooklyn Law School. He has been admitted to the New York State Bar, the Connecticut Bar and the Florida Bar.

“It’s a great pleasure to join DHC in this of counsel role,” said Mr. Levine. “This new relationship will help expand the presence of both CBL and DHC throughout the State of New York, and in Palm Beach and Broward Counties, Florida. The collaborative nature of our relationship allows us to maintain our existing firms, while expanding and deepening the breadth and scope of our service offerings to our clients.”

DHC additionally welcomed Veteran attorney John P. Corrigan, who joined the firm as Of Counsel and brings more than 25 years of experience in Corporate, Tax and Trust & Estates Law.

Over his decades of work, including as a founding partner of Corrigan, Baker & Levine LLC, Corrigan has represented multi-billion-dollar international corporations, both public and private, as well as start-up companies and family-owned businesses in various matters.

Having earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Administration from Pace University, Corrigan offers a unique perspective on complex business matters, which has led to frequent collaboration on client matters with legal, accounting, insurance and financial firms.

Corrigan holds or previously held the professional license designations of Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner and Certified Valuation Analyst. He has been admitted to the New York State Bar, the Westchester County Bar, and the Connecticut Bar and has tried cases before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and U.S. Tax Court, in addition to representing clients for both personal and business tax controversies (foreign and domestic) being audited by the Internal Revenue Service and/or State Tax Authority for the last 30 years.

Having also worked previously for two public companies, Mr. Corrigan’s experience as an implementer of tax strategies, not just as an adviser, provides real-life practical experience in managing and resolving specific client situations in a cost-efficient manner. He also spearheaded specific tax legislation initiatives in Washington–two now codified in the Code–and has provided real-life experience not commonly obtained by other tax practitioners.

“I am thrilled to join the team at Davidoff, Hutcher & Citron and I look forward to working alongside their first-class legal team to help clients across the country,” said Mr. Corrigan. “Having the resources and support of DHC will also greatly enhance the capabilities that CBL offers its clients.”
